It was a tie between The Dark Knight and Wall-E, both of which I fell hopelessly in love with and were snubbed for Best Picture nominations. Since UK gets all the 2008 Oscar releases in 2009, it sort of screws up my opinions of the best films technically from that year. Thank you for the suggestions, I shall definately look into them. Every year I make a resolution to see more varied movies and every year I end up doing the normal award show picks and films with blokes I fancy in them. :D I'm trying to watch a new film a week, as well as everything else I need to do, damn the lack of hours in a day.
