The BBC does not take into account old-fashioned school districts that make you read classic books, do they?

It's nice that they included some more modern novels on this list, so that it's not skewed toward older people.

*grin* I admit, almost half of them are books I had to read, and most of the ones I didn't finish are ones where we had to do excerpts from in class. Dratted school districts. I think a few of them I might have even liked, if we hadn't had to sit there an analyze every flippin' chapter. Ruined more than one book for me, it did.
