The Public is doing The Merchant of Venice and The Winter's Tale in rep this summer! I don't think I've ever seen Merchant on stage--yay! So excited to see me some free quality Shakespeare! I love summer in the city! As a follow up to the Lovestreet/Julie drammer--apparently Lori had also heard from Catherine a while ago that Julie wanted to fire

I feel like I'm the one person not excited about this show this summer since I saw the movie with Pacino in it and HATED both the film and his performance. Much prefer Looking for Richard.

Maybe his scenery chewing will work better on an actual stage. I've heard other people who weren't too crazy about his Shylock as well. Still, can't wait!

Winter's Tale seems to be a hot ticket in the last few seasons, a lot of companies have done it.
