scribblecat would like me to make a post that didn't have about a thousand points in it, so her brain doesn't explode. I would like this also. Let's do four! ...and see how we go, ha ha.
Four points! *Knucklebumps* I'm a complete hypocrite though because my last point form had 5. I had no idea Chris Lilley was bringing out something new until that day *after* Angry Boys was on. I wonder if there will be a repeat? Must remember to watch it tomorrow!I love him because he picks up on the real life and then isn't afraid of using it. I wonder how it will go down in the U.S though? The humor is very...Aussie.
Some people call Chris Lilley racist. I think it's nonsence, because he picks up on all the stereotypical, racist-esque stuff that society has produced, and then makes fun of it. *jumps off soapbox* I had a couple of my American flisters watch Summer Heights High and love it, so we'll see!
Awww, Sez, I was actually really going for the Saints! I've come to really dislike Hawthorn in the last few years. And the Saints just need to win something! *pats sympathetically* I know what it's like to have a winless team.
Squeee! Love your work! I've bookmarked that to watch later. I don't think he's racist either, that's just ridiculous that people think that. Excatly like you said, he's just reflecting society.
Speaking of race/funny have you read Ahn Do's book The Happiest Refugee? It's really good! I barely know his comedy but it doesn't even matter.
What is with this season 2011 of football. I don't even. *accepts the pats gratefully*
Oh yes, I loved The Happiest Refugee! It was a great (and, erm, easy - I like easy!) read. He actually uses some of the same stories in his stand up, not that there's anything wrong with that. Hmmm... I want to go and YouTube comedy now but I have potatoes in the oven...
Crazy season! Draws everywhere, some stupid bans, and then there's Leigh Montagna's "deliberate out of bounds" from a few weeks ago that still makes me laugh because it was so absurd... (And damn, I'm losing this Freo vs WCE tip! Argh!)
I love Chris Lilley. I don't watch TV on TV so I didn't know about Angry Boys or anything but I've heard so much about it so I'll definitely be tracking it down online. It sounds like just my kind of humour lol.
Bossypants is awesome!!
I so agree re: people getting married (and having kids!) so young. It's insane and it seems like its happening all the time.
I watched Angry Boys!! I could not stop laughing at 'Mainies' ahaha. And they used to do Mainies on their bikes and sometimes they did walking mainies.
Omg.
IT WAS SO FUNNY.
Also that person I kept meaning to tell you got engaged from your school is Stef M....I assume you can figure out who that is (just look at my Facebook friends if you can't).
Oh, I should have figured that one out haha. Hmm. Well, good luck to her did I ever tell you she was a complete bitch to me until she wanted something? Maybe she's chaned for the better, I'll always give people a second chance... I shall FB stalk!
