Snaps to me! So far I've been keeping up with LJ. I'm amazed because for about six months I've been saying this, and yet it hadn't happened. It's a start, my tulips - it's a start!
Jenna's mum came to visit, and basically Jenna holds a lot of animosity towards her because her mum was irresponsible, would miss out on her talent shows, drank too much, etc. When Jenna was freaking out about her mum visiting, Liz was all, "Maybe she's changed! It's been a long time, everyone gets mad at their parents, my mum and I used to sing a song together instead!" and I'm like, no. Liz had a good mum and can't compare. (Anyway, it was the first thing that I've ever disagreed with on the show. But no big deal.)
That's another thing: the Gold Coast is the most Anglo city I've ever been to. lol this made me laugh 'cos when we go to the Gold Coast we're always saying how multicultrural it is :P If you think the Gold Coast is Anglo you should come to North Qld (esp Townsville and surrounding towns) lol. Well we're more Anglo and Indigenous but not very multi-cultural otherwise. Glad you seem to be liking Qld though! (whenever I go to southern states I always feel underdressed, no matter what I wear and everyone seems to wear so much black! Its so interesting reading different perspectives!)
Glad that the class went well! I bet you did a great job :) 30 Rock was very awwww-worthy (omg how hooked am I on that show?)
I don't think the Victorian in me will easily shake the mentality of drought ("SPRINKLERS! OH MY GOD, LOOK AT THEM!").
Same here, and SAME HERE. I'm so used to water restrictions now... the other night when jogging around Albert Park Lake, my friend and I saw the most amazing sight ever. THE SPRINKLERS WERE ON IN THE GOLF COURSE ACROSS THE ROAD! So we went and ran through them for ten minutes and it was glorious. :D
So glad the class went well! :D
My boss when I was in high school said youse a lot. NOT A FAN.
Old Blue Heelers episodes are the best. Fiona and Jess and I watched the first seven episodes of the first season last week. So much awesome! SO MANY BAD OUTFITS. And scrunchies! Oh the lulz.

Oh hi Cec, I'm just gonna comment over to Sally here... :P
Shite, I just realised how that sounded! I mean, it totally IS a very cool city already. What I meant is that it's emerging as, like, the city to overtake Sydney and Melbourne in everything and they won't even notice it until Brissie is all like, "HA! SNUCK UP ON YA!" and they'll won't know what hit 'em. I mean, you know, the whole 'world city' thing Captain Bligh's saying. :D
Am I forgiven now??
And yes! Recommend me places! I haven't had time to go and explore yet. I do, however, adore New Farm. It so reminds me of home with all the cafes and clothing shops.
