Seriously, this one was just an honor to be nominated. I was up against some very good writers and some very fine books for this year’s NLA-I Writing Awards. I was concerned that perhaps the way The Prince’s Boy skirts non-consensuality and dubious consent might be a problem for some judges. But they saw fit to give it honorable mention. (And

Congrats! I was disappointing on not filnaling,,,and then I read that you and Jeff Mann did, and it made it go down so much easier. Well done on the Honorable Mention.

I think we're seriously in a renaissance in erotic fiction right now. I'm just glad I didn't have to *judge* the category! I know some of the other books that were considered (because I nominated them) and it was stiff competition. (And now I really want to read Jeff's book, which was one of the ones I *haven't* read.)

I'm a judge this year for the Lamdba Literary Awards and that was hard because of how much good stuff there was. I judged lesbian erotic fiction this year and we seriously had over a dozen strong contenders, and our final deliberations we ended up cutting some very fine hairs.
