These reviews you've been doing of this supplemental stuff makes me think that, really, one is better off in most cases just hitting the more decent fanfics.
Sigh. It's a pity.

Most definitely. Not one of these books or graphic novels have been anywhere near the calibre of the really well written fanfics. Kinda sad.

Yeah....
It is here however that we must invoke the right of fannon. And oh what a fun power that can be. It just sucks that the show is so consistently good and these are so increasingly subpar.
For example-- I refuse to come near the anime with a ten-foot pole despite that I've heard it's pretty okay. TOO WIERD for me. And I have a lot of respect for that anime studio, even, I do, because they did Death Note (even if they did screw up a few things in Death Note). But NO. Seriously, even people in Japan must be like "Screw this, I'm gonna go watch the American show."
It makes me wonder what Joss is doing right that Kripke and Gamble aren't...oh, like maybe WORKING ON THE STUFF HIMSELF or sticking people who helped develop the story and thus understand it REALLY WELL...You know what? Never mind. Kripke and Gamble should just give Joss complete creative control of ALL the extra stuff and just worry about the show. Then it'll all be made of awesome.

Hey,

I agree with your comments here.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this graphic novel. It's the only one I've read but it was better than I expected.

I actually really liked that John drove Sam away in order to protect him. That makes a lot of sense to me.

But yeah... him shooting Sam? Nah... that I couldn't understand.

And the headless Sam story was pretty ridiculous...

Thanks for the reviews.

So welcome.

For the most part this was a good read, er, viewing. Just a few little things . . . but, meh.
