Although, I deal with Civil War buffs and reenacters all the time. So either this read will be spot on hilarious- or remind me too much of real life and will miss the point of reading to escape reality- heh.
The "Cass" thing kinda bugs me, too. I've seen it in one of the other books as well.
It is pretty refreshing to have a pretty antagonistic officer, I definitely agree with that.
Eh, yeah, I wasn't too thrilled with the Big Bad either. Kind of a letdown after all the action exploding around it. Other than that, though, I did quite enjoy it.
Have to say this is probably my favorite out of all the books. I agree about the Cass thing. It's just weird to spell it with two s'. I thought for as hurt as both of them were, they did way too well. Sure, I know they are Winchesters, but they still should have had a few more problems with those injuries. Not that I'm saying they couldn't have done what they did, just that I would have liked to see a little bit more hurt/comfort and patching up there. That's just my opinion as a nurse and reader. Hugs, Vonnie
Out of all six books I've read so far, you could say that about all of them. These writers just don't get down into the angst and relationship of the brothers enough, which is honestly what I want the most. Ah, well.
I'd say Witch's Canyon got the closest on the worry about the other brother while they were separated factor though.
I think it was this book I read some of when I was at a friend's house. It made me want to read the others too because I liked it. Didn't have time to read it all though so can't wait to start over XD
Yeah, this one is pretty good. Definitely worth spending time with. I've finished War of the Sons and will hopefully get that review up soon. It plays a little more with the vessel canon stuff so its interesting as well.
