I did that last summer. I cut all my hair short, bought lots of rainbow striped tops and patchwork shorts, and a long velvet cloak.

I suspect reading The Difference Engine earlier this year set it all off. It would be a hell of an investment in terms of either money or time, but corsets! Technology! Boots! Mechanisms! Giant mechanical spiders!
