I never get to hear what music is on at WGW which may be why I have never gone

http://www.whitbygothweekend.co.uk/ and unlike in days past they're quite good these days about actually announcing bands (most of the past few times they've managed to do so at the previous festival, which gives you ~6 months notice).

The last few line-ups I've not found very inspiring, though, and the Spa is expensive and a bit Hobson's choice.

Also Whitby is small and the accommodation goes like hot cakes!

Yeah, after a few decent line-ups, I was a bit disappointed with this. I think we already have tickets, so I guess I'll risk it, but I'm not that excited.

DeviantUK are the band with the pantomime villain for the singer, aren't they? they're quite fun.

DeviantUK> I think so. I confuse them with several similarly-named bands (like UK Decay and I'm sure there's another) but I think DeviantUK is the one that's actually worth seeing.

I think our plan is to turn up, see what the Res have planned in the way of bands, and take it from there.
