Making sense of London
As a consequence of being in London for a conference with someone who went to school down the road, over the past couple of days I have been wandering around a fair bit near Oxford Street and looking above ground level (ground level is mostly boring shops). I think this is true in most places, or at least it's generally more interesting. Fortunately most people don't actually look up very often, or the high street chains would all have extended their branded shopfronts right the way up the buildings...
