I actually like the blog format a lot better for displaying photos; they don't get lost in the news feed, and you can display a nice big 600x400 image instead of some itty bitty thumbnail. Of course hardly anyone reads LJ any more, but that just gives me extra hipster cred. "Whatever, Instagram, I shoot my pictures on vintage Polaroid film, scan them in with my Logitec Scanman Plus, and post them to Livejournal."
