The modern tea partier would say that is the constitutional right of the CEO to take those dozen-1 cookies because he did so first. Consider that the CEO has to pay the other 10 people not in the room but who are represented by the CEO as his shareholders. I think to really understand this story, we need to look at the bigger picture and stop thinking about how hungry and selfish we are. We should be more prudent with those taxpayer cookies, after all. I don't know how to spend them. Besides, the cookies aren't really that tasty. They definitely will go stale before any of us retire. I know since the CEO slid me one under the table.
