A List of Good

1. Why in the world did I play the clarinet instead of the drums? 'Cuz I'm telling you, I could have been a star! Our friend J got Rock Band about a week ago and ever since I've been the master of that drum set. I recently got an 87% on hard with no formal training, thankyouverymcuh ( Read more... )

I am totally swamped by all that is work-related, yet I haven't been happier about work in months. Guess I just need to keep busy to stay happy. (does that make me insane?)

Busy is better than bored. However, there is a limit - I hit it, last week. Eh, I am a libra, always searching for balance.

I hear ya! If it stays this busy for too long I'll probably hit a limit.

It's a "companion novel". As in, some of the same characters, but not really a sequel. Aislinn isn't the center of the story, though you do get a sense of what's going on in her life.

Sure! I've promised it to one of my book club kids, but she's a super-fast reader so I'll probably get it back after a day. If I have it back next Thurs. I'll bring it with me.

Pizza taste-off sounds AWESOME! Did you make them, get a bunch from local pizza shops, what? Details, woman! ;)

I called local businesses and they all donated 3 large cheese pizzas and delivered for free. Their benefit was free publicity and bragging rights (it has become a huge thing in town) and the teens got free food. A win-win situation!

The teens got to try a small slice of each pizza (8 in all), then they voted on best cheese, best sauce, best crust and best overall pizza.

Seriously. What's taking them so long? I want my own drum set! And the ability to play whenever I want.

So what did you think? I'm torn. I loved Ink Exchange, but it took me forever to get into and I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I did Wicked Lovely. Lock & Key was alright, but part of me was expecting more from her.

I agree on Ink Exchange...I really liked it, but I think I missed the characters from the first book (which I think were the reasons I loved it so much).

Though I really enjoyed Lock and Key. I read it in about a day - couldn't put it down. Though, again, I think it was the characters that drew me in (Cora in particular).
