Good things and a not so good thing

Good things:

-New president = good thing for everyone and not just the U.S

-first female senator from New Hampshire as averygoodun pointed out

-my congresswoman was re-elected

Not so good thing:

-Hubby lost his election by 2,056 votes. He worked incredibly hard for the over 10,000 votes he did receive. Knocking on doors in almost half of the city and one other ( Read more... )

Oh, I'm sorry. That was pretty close, though.

I hope that having him around again will be very good.

Thank you. It was a good race and if he decides to try for alderman in '09 instead of the school board again, he'll be up against the same person.

It will be very good to have him around more, especially with the holidays coming up.

A very long time ago, my dad lost re-election to the local school board (where he had been serving as their very first Democrat ever) by just a handful of votes, so I feel your pain!

Ah, so you know how it is. Thank you. Hubby is actually up for re-election of his school board position next year. :) He's served for five years on the board so far.

Thank you. Perhaps, yes. After the sign retrieval, the thank you letters, scouts this weekend..... Maybe by the time his 40th b-day rolls around in mid Decemeber.
