I made it to LAX, now standing in long line at car rental. Spoke to Dad and ML last night. She has softened her stance about the whole "my house is a mess so you can't come in" thing. In fact she seemed to make an extra effort to extend the welcome. Still not sure what the plan is for tomorrow in terms of taking Dad to visit her once she's in
