I would have to agree. My boss is a huge fan of Milan and takes his advice as gospel. I have watched a few episodes of his show and don't quite believe it - every scene looks staged. As for 'horse whispering' in general, I am so not a fan. I have been to many lectures by people who follow this sort of philosophy and find that they cloak themselves in a kind of messiah-like mysticism because they are kind to animals. Mum isn't a fan either and usually turns quite irate at some of their words of wisdom. She doesn't 'break' foals - she teaches them - but she views 'whispering' as coddling. Since my Mum is, well, my Mum, and because she's never produced anything other than gentle, capable and sound animals, I tend to take her side in this.
I have never seen the program to which you're referring, but it sounds suspiciously like the Pet Psychic from a few years back. What bothers me most is that these hucksters take people's hard earned income in exchange for their lies and slight of hand by manipulating people's emotions with cheap psychological tricks.
