Heading Home

We moved to Las Vegas almost five years ago (it'll be five years on November 1). I've - we've both - regretted coming here more than we've been pleased with the decision, and we've decided to move back home. It's not going to be for awhile, probably next summer, but I'm really looking forward to being near my family again, my friends, having four ( Read more... )

Awwww

I'm glad you're going where you'll be happier, but it's sad to see you go.

Seem's like VegasFen's going to take a double hit next spring/summer. Sad, v. sad.

But if you both don't like the weather/community you're in, it's just not worth staying. Good luck with your planning and plotting.

That double hit is sad. You'll have to go trolling - er, pimping - er, recruiting - at ConStrict.

I think it would be different if we could talk other family members into moving out here but no one wants to - it's hard even to get people to visit! It's nice have mom nearby, but it'd be even nicer to have more family - siblings, cousins, step-kids, someone close as well! (Especially since, as I age, so do they. Shame on them!)

I'm sure you'll be happier at home... I hope your husband is feeling better too. Hey, before you know it, you'll be missing the warmth of Las Vegas. Riight. :-]

He's feeling better day by day - at the VA clinic this afternoon, trying to get the rest of his prescriptions filled. (Fortunately he already had the more crucial ones at home.)

He's already telling his kids that he won't be leaving the house, once we're back in the midwest, all winter long so if they want to see him over the holidays, they'll have to visit us!
