Best St. Clive's Day Ever!

Ok, I don't think there's a real St. Clive's; November 29th is my personal, made-up holiday to celebrate C. S. Lewis in particular (it's his birthday) and, I guess, favorite authors in general (it's also the birthday of Louisa May Alcott and Madeleine L'Engle).

It's wonderful that not everything was lost!! It sounds like there will be much fun going through the boxes.

Yes, isn't it! We're all excited. I think the biggest job is going to be going through all those photos, figuring out who everyone is (some go back to his childhood), then deciding how to split them up and which to get copied or scanned. Not such a bad job, though!

What a wonderful St. Clive's Day! I never knew three of my favorite authors were born on the same day. Coolio.

I'm so glad you were given those mementos. I'm hoping that someday I will have the photos of my father and grandfather that my mother has hoarded (she had several men after my father, so it isn't as if there was great sentimentality attached).

I can see that that is a Thank You note that you can write with sincerity. Pity she threw a lot of stuff away, but the photos are probably the best things you oculd have anyway.

I'd have gresat fun with the year-books and things too.
