I want it! I'm nowhere near the top of the list - the top of the list are healthcare workers and other people who are at risk of getting the virus in the day-to-day jobs, as they should be - but I'd love to have even a tentative timeline. I went looking and this is what I found on the official in.gov covid site: "The timeline for additional phases ( Read more... )

I think it will be about April or May before I am likely to be called. We have done 0.75 of our population since we started on Monday this week - care home residents and staff first, and then on to health care workers now. I will be in the 60-70 year old, no major health problems, cohort...

I don't think April is unreasonable at all for getting towards the end or even the second half of the schedule. I think it's crazy for just starting the regular population. But again, that was only a rumor and hopefully it's wrong. (Plus I'm just annoyed that they don't have even a tentative schedule at this point. Of course I may just be too impatient!)

I have heard I will get my second one in 12 weeks.

I suppose the positive is that the more people who get any injection at all, the less the infection will spread ... so it will slowly settle back to normality (I hope)

There was a bit on the news today that they are hoping to add Police to our primary lists, as there is a high infection rate.

So hard for everyone.

I hadn't thought about police being in the top tier but it makes sense. Putting any first responders at or near the top makes sense.
