Oh my god, A Separate Peace.

Like, not only does it need a new word for slashy, it's really getting under my skin. I hate (read: am terrified by) psychodrama. :/

It IS. I've practically started taking it for granted that the two main characters are lovers, and it has some of the hottest descriptions of guys (or one guy, Phineas, in particular) that I've ever read. And it's from the POV of a supposedly straight guy.

But it's also sooo scary, because the main character is jealous of Phineas (or something...? or just crazy?) and... okay, I'm not going to spoil it, but it's alarming.
