CRISIS! Death of another DVR.

Jul 13, 2008 16:25

This is the second DVR I've had die.  This time I think I only lost about 80 hours of programming.

Most upsetting?  It ate the most recent Doctor Who and Stargate Atlantis and I can't find anywhere to get the episodes.   *sobs*  Why can't Scifi repeat the episodes once in a while?

if you wish, I can snail-mail you the entire Doctor Who season 4 run on .avi format rather quickly. I've actually just finished burning a copy for someone else. Not a problem to do it for you.

How can it be that you don't have it? *boggles* You're in Canada - you should have everything we do here in the US.

Mine is part of my satellite service. I could not imagine living without it any more. I can pause the telly and back it up and replay it and I never have to see a commercial ever again. Watching telly real-time is so very unacceptable.

Do any of your satellite or cable services offer a DVR (Digital Video Recorder)? Cuz if so, it's available. A lot of people call digital recording "TiVo", even though they don't actually have a TiVo-brand service or recorder.

But I'll admit, the actual "TiVo" brand is superior to what I have currently.
