DW Audios: The Curse of Davros (6th Doctor)

I think that Six has become my favourite audio Doctor, so I've been eagerly looking forward to the next set of BF audios to feature "ol' Sixie", as Colin Baker affectionately terms him.

Is Flip significantly younger than the people writing her? (She said, thinking of Ace's less stellar moments of youth.)

I reckon you're right about that; I doubt if the actress playing her had been born when Six was on TV.

My disappointment with this story was for more Belgian reasons (yet again we are a site for someone else's battles), But I did think there was one interesting thing about Flip - she is in some ways Big Finish's answer to Rose, another young Londoner who loses her job and leaves her non-white boyfriend for the sake of travel with the Doctor. BF pioneered the explicit Doctor/companion romance with Eight/Charley; perhaps they are now having a go at doing Rose from a different direction, without the romance?

The parallels with Rose struck me, too, but even though she's one of my least favourite companions of the new series, I don't remember her voice or accent grating on me quite so much!
