The last time I played with Flight Simulator was when it just had grids and we didn't have color monitors yet. My brother and I could never land well, so we just tried flying between two tall buildings. We usually crashed into them instead.
An article I read comparing the original FS to the current one pointed out that while the first only came on one (maybe a couple more) floppy disks, the new one would need 87,000.
But yes, no matter how much the scenery improves and how many tall buildings there are and how many tutorials there are, landing is freakin' hard. :)
I said it was pretty, not accurate! :) What's really weird is that in FS2004, Three Rivers Stadium was still there...and then in FSX, there's no Three Rivers, but not Heinz Field & PNC Park either -- just more generic houses...

We didn't stay interested too long, we had boxes of Legos that were more interesting.
