I'm guessing I didn't qualify for the clouds-and-harps treatment, huh? So what now? An eternity of sitting in my room talking to a computer screen? 'Cause that sounds peachy.
[Elle pushes away from the doorframe as she reaches for his hand. Her mind is barely processing what he's saying - she's much more interested in lacing her fingers through his, staring intently at their hands as though studying something about them.]
"Warden?" [she asks absently, her voice high and innocent-sounding like a child's.] "What's that supposed to mean?"
[Annoyance flashed across Elle's face when he pulled his hand away, but that freed her hands to grab his waist.] "So you're my keeper," [she said sternly. Her expression turned coy.] "You gonna tell me what a bad girl I've been?"
[She was wearing what she'd died in - a plain t-shirt and jeans - but the total unsexiness of her clothes didn't stop her pressing herself against him suggestively and trying to spin him so his back was against the doorframe.]
[Elle's jaw clenched at his abrupt rejection, but she recovered quickly. One hand reached up to snatch his away from her shoulder. She raised his arm up and spun under it into her room, giving him a light shock as she tugged him towards her.]
"Sure thing," [she said, smirking over her shoulder.]
[Elle, unsure of what he meant he hadn't been implying - though her mind supplied a few dirty possibilities - simply raised her eyebrows at him before perching on her desk and crossing her legs.] "Dead, barge, hell, blah blah."
[Elle narrowed her eyes at him. She knew her ability hadn't been hurting her since she'd arrived her, but she hadn't noticed that it wasn't as strong.
That annoyed her.
She hopped off the desk and swung around behind him, giving his shirt a tug to straighten it out before slipping in front of him.] "You took my ability away?" [she demanded.] "Why?"
[Elle looked to the side, half-concerned and half-coy as she said,] "Yeah, here's the thing..." [One hand darted up to send a tiny jolt of electricity into the tip of his nose. Her tone and expression suddenly hardened.] "I don't play by your rules, chief."
