Romantic Comedies

I have to confess - and I realise I might lose about 3/5 of my readership on this one - I actually quite like romantic comedies.

City of Angels, Love Actually, Kate & Leopold, Two Weeks Notice (which is the one we watched yesterday). They are mushy, slushy, and disgustingly optimistic and everything always turns out just right in the end. It's

Also, one of the things I have noticed is that an awful lot of the romcoms that I've seen hinge upon the two characters hating each other for some initial ludicrous misunderstanding, which then gets cleared up at the end of the film and everyone's happy. That or one character simply cannot communicate properly with another. Gah! It's frustrating.
