Oh man, are these really only the second and third books I've read this year? I guess I was kind of watching a lot of Buffy in January, then writing a lot of papers and traveling in February and March, and also there was that German book, Schule der Lügen, that I read 250 pages of and abandoned because it was hardcover and too heavy to carry ( Read more... )

Just thought I'd say high to let you know I've friended you. I saw some review you'd posted in some fic and thought - woah thats, like, deep. Anyhow, I too take lurking very professionally. :)

Hi! Professional lurking is a real skill, yo. I kind of want a badge that says something like "pro lurker in the HP fandom since 2001" except, uh, that's kind of embarrassing. :D Just out of curiosity, do you remember what review you saw? 'Cause the majority of what I'm reading these days seems to be J², and the majority of my reviews there tend to be along the lines of, "I think my brain just exploded."

*splutters* I could have made those badges, except that, er, yeah.

It took me a while to remember, but the fic was For I Have Sinned by miss_begonia. I don't usually read comments (because most really are "OMG so hot, blah blah blah"), but saw yours and thought "woah, she just compared this fic to actually literature" - made me interested in the book too. :)

Except that, right, we don't know anything about that. :D

Aha. That one did hit me in a different way than most Jared/Jensen. And in case it didn't come across clearly enough already, I'd highly recommend The Rapture of Canaan. I probably should reread it, seeing as the only time I've read it was from the hours of, like, 11 p.m. to three a.m. and maybe I was a little delirious by the end of it, but there are few pairings I've ever shipped harder in actual literature than James/Ninah, and the writing is lovely.
