1. If I never hear "I'm Not Here For Your Entertainment" played in a club again, I'd be very, very all right about it.

2. Hangovers and ten-page papers about the German school system should never mix. Ever again. In fact, my life and ten-page papers about the German school system should never mix, full stop. I just need to get it done so this ( Read more... )

I've just finished writing a paper about EU environmental policy, which you'd think would be interesting, but it really wasn't. Gah, the policy processes are sooooo boring. I'm glad I didn't have to write a paper about the German school system though. That sounds even more boring. :P Or, it depends on from which angle you write about it. :D

Btw, what do you study? :)

Oh man -- I don't envy you that one, either! And don't worry, the German school system paper is exactly as boring as it sounds. There's probably some way to make it less boring, but I don't know what it would be.

I study German and Spanish. Mostly just German at the moment, although I think I'm taking some Spanish lit next semester, which I'm psyched about -- even though it's quite possibly going to meet at eight in the morning. *shudder*

Ooh, languages! That must be fun! :D I'm planning to take some German next semester... But only a repetition course. I learnt German for 4 years in highschool, and I've forgotten a lot, so I just want to refresh my memory a bit. :D

I'm a big fan of languages. I'm also meant to be taking Intro French this coming semester -- we'll see if it kills me off or not. It occurs to that this'll mean I could well have days where I use different languages, which very very might kill me off. I'm pretty good at switching between German and English, but when one of my friends started talking to me in Spanish, I ended up terminally confused; I'd understand just what he was saying and I'd try to reply, but all that would come out was German. It's been too long since I've used Spanish regularly, I guess. :/ But still -- psyched about Intro French, even more so about Spanish lit. And yay for German refresher courses!
