I've been wanting this since the rumors started. JC/Justin was my first OTP! And since Justin is too busy banging girls right now, JC had to go somewhere else. Chace just fell into his lap.

Ahaha! I don't actually know anything about Chace, but I did spend a lot of quality time in popslash, so I know JC VERY well. I think the second half of this will be a lot less stress inducing than the first. :p

HAHAHA, WHAT. I TOTALLY EVEN FORGOT THE JC/CHACE THING HAPPENED.

You do this thing with DETAILS man, not for the sake of details or even strictly for the sake of coloring in a world, but it's about making side characters and settings REAL, creating a careful context that informs the main arc of your story. Miami, and New York and L.A., the places we ARE really occupy different emotional headspaces and you do that really well here: Miami being this place of dying-fruit drinks and identical clubs, LA's landscape and heat, YES. And I fucking know Jeff, and I know why it's the easiest thing ever for Chace to keep secrets from him, to lie to him, because it doesn't MATTER.

And then when it does matter! And he makes a choice and his world doesn't end. GREAT. Whoa, that was a lot more than I thought I'd have to say. HAHA. HI.

IDEK, TIMELY I AM NOT. I was just thinking about Ed/Chace a lot lately because I watch Gossip Girl with my roommates, and then I was like, well, Chace also needs to have the JC backstory, because that is some hilarious shit that those rumors happened, and it wasn't SUPPOSED to be its own story but it is. OOPS.

I realized as I was in the middle of editing this that I'm on this huge kick of writing about characters/my feelings about place, which is consciously what I'm doing in the Ed/Chace thing that follows this but WASN'T a conscious choice here, so it's pretty cool to hear that that comes across anyway. :D

OMG. I can't believe you wrote this! If you ever ever need a JC canon person, I would be so happy to lead you into temptation. (For example, JC lives in a gigantic house on a cliff in the Hollywood Hills, and not an apartment, but I am forgiving you because OMG AWESOME.)

I still can't believe you wrote this. Were you there at Wincon in LA when I made Ash play Schizophrenic because I was high and I was going on and on about how much more awesome it is high? ANYway.

I was probably there and probably drunk! Seeing as I spent pretty much all of Wincon being like ASH DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE, I AM NEW TO THIS SHIT AND SCARED.

There is definitely going to be the sequel where Chace moves in with Ed in NYC, but that is just me following what the gossip blogs said was trufax. As for the fic where JC comes to New York and acts like a total jealous bitch and fucks Chace all over Manhattan, well. Anything's possible. :D
