Author's Notes: This fic is based on the movie The Family Man, although it deviates pretty far from the original plot in places and contains no Nicholas Cage whatsoever. You needn't have seen the movie to understand the fic. I should point out that while a large part of this fic takes place within an AU, the fic itself is not actually an AU -- rather, it's future fic. Hopefully that'll make sense when you read it.
