i was listening to a song by Robbie Williams and i think it was called "Please don't die" (or at least he sang it) so i liked it and decided to simplify it and i ended up with plzdonotdie :) hah it really doesn't make any sense but that's the story :P
Mine comes from a fic I wrote ages ago. I made up an elf (LOTR fic) and named her "Ithilmenel". Then a year or so later I got to LJ and wanted to figure out a good name that would mean something to me... I used that name then. It means moon sky. :)
At first, my name was si_ta, since Sita was taken. It was a fandom name I rolled with since I was young in Gundam Wing and DBZ fandoms. When I got into Harry Potter, I decided to change it. I did a random search for names--I have no idea what I put it--and this name popped up. Originally mishappens. I decided to tweak it to what it is now. I just like what it represents--mistakes happen, get over it! :)
I would have gone with Nepenthe, as that was the new name I put myself under when I switched fandoms, but it was taken and I didn't want to split it up or put numbers in it. Now, that name actually has meaning for me. My sophomore year in high school, I was having a lot of trouble. I discovered 'nepenthe' in the book, Scarlet Letter. It means "a drug or drink, or the plant yielding it, mentioned by ancient writers as having the power to bring forgetfulness of sorrow or trouble." How I wished something like that existed at the time! So I snatched it up and I haven't tired of it yet. :)
haha that is so funny that you got that lyric wrong on your previous name. Reminds me of when people get stuff like that tattooed on them and it has a mistake in it. Thankfully an LJ name isn't as permanent and you can change it.
