[It's sometime after he's gotten back from the usual friday morning session at the dojo, and it's pouring down rain outside. Therefore, the logical place for Isamu to be is indoors, maybe reading a book. This, however, is not the case ( Read more... )

[Sanji looks on.

From a tree.

That's right; tree!Sanji is watching and wondering what the hell Isamu is on, but doesn't announce his presence yet]

[Isamu doesn't notice him.

After one particular attempt, however, there is what appears to be a very faint light spreading out from Isamu's fingers. For just a moment, the rain seems to hit something there and slide away.

The teen looks momentarily triumphant, right until he finds himself on his knees, dizzy.]

Huh. Interesting. [exhales a stream of smoke and raises his voice so Isamu can hear him]

Nice trick.

[ohgodtree!Sanjiiswatchingme Isamu's head jerks up as he searches for the source of the voice. Finally catching sight of Sanji, he frowns, getting back to his feet.

He brushes a bit of mud off the knees of his pants, not that this helps much when he's completely soaked.]

You always make a habit of spying from trees?

[Isamu stumbles in a bit later, dripping and shivering and not entirely steady on his feet. He's barefoot too, having left his muddy shoes outside the door. He knows he's probably gone and caught himself a cold, too.

And was it worth it? Possibly.

Isamu stares at the towel and clothes for a moment, quite certain he's never going to get used to this.] I'm guessing you're in.

...Right. [Grabbing the towel now to dry of his hair. He starts unbuttoning his shirt, then glances back at Naoki. Yeah, no. The clothes are grabbed up in a bundle as he heads to his room to change.]

[Raph hasn't gone home since the morning's training session. No, there's a part of him that's just drawn to the dramatic weather. And with two brothers to drive him crazy at home, he's content to wander.

Funny thing about today is, despite the weather being the human definition of miserable, Raph's ran into more people today than on his usual bouts of wanderlust. It's all the more proof that people are damn crazy around here.

He's even more surprised to see it's Isamu doing something that he can only guess has something to do with magic.

So he watches him for a while, hidden under the cover of the dense undergrowth. It's time he learned a little more of what all this magic stuff is about.]

[Raphael might not be in for much of a lesson. Isamu isn't getting anywhere and it's really wearing him out. After a brief flash of light over his head that fails to hold any proper form, barrier-wise or no, the teen stops. He stares at his hands, swaying just a little, before glaring skyward.

You'd think water, of all things, would be simple enough to block.]

[Yeah, he has no idea what that's supposed to be, and this's boring, so he's gonna liven things up a little bit. He fishes in his belt and tosses a handful of shuriken, none of them aimed at Isamu himself, but burying themselves in the nearby trees and the ground by his feet.

How's about a game of find-the-ninja?]

HOLY--! [Even if they aren't aimed at him, Isamu dives out of the way. He stares wide-eyed at the shuriken, then out into the woods. His surprised expression turns sour.]

Shit... Yeah, that's real funny, man.
