Children's music CDs

In 4th and 5th grades, all us kids sang in a chorus that, twice a year, sang for the students and parents at my elementary school. One year, can't remember which, one of the songs was Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop." Now, at the time, I didn't know what it was about; I'm not sure any of us did. But some of the teachers snickered, and the music teacher said "Well, we'll forget about the second verse; it may be too much."

So imagine how hard I laughed when I got older and realized what the song was about. I'm kind of on two minds with it - not to mention that this was frickin' Wellesley in the '80's.

Not something one might expect... but there was no hue and cry over it, at least not to my knowledge.

Heh. Oh, good, so I'm not the only one who thinks that's kind of messed up. I see the commercials sometimes on late night TV and generally go "gwuh?".
