Chocolate Tasting Show

Feb 06, 2005 11:45

The show went well: lots of people, lots of chocolate (I should have asked someone to bring me some, since I played piano during the breaks: I missed out on the Joseph Schmidt and a few others. :-) ).
The dancers did a wonderful job; I really liked cassidyrose's lyrical solo and costume. The volunteers and ( Read more... )

Oh, is that what they're calling it these days?

klwalton! *Really*, now!

I'm glad you can still sing, and sing beautifully, at that.

You should play. All the time. I still have a keyboard looking for a good home you know.

If it looks like I'll be able to keep my place, I think I will be able make room for it. Then maybe I can accompany you singing sometime. (We'd just have to allow a lot of extra time and prep for me, given my *very* rusty sightreading skills.)

www.vistaprint.com - free business cards (with their logo on back) or 19.99 for 250. (Plus about $5-10 for shipping depending on how fast you want them)

It's an easy way to get some cards. Nice to have them as contact cards anyway. :-)

Good luck. (I was sorry to miss the event. My work schedule is keeping me from a lot of stuff these days.)

Hey, good to hear from you! And thanks for the tip! :-)

In case you can make it, the Big Moves modern dance ensemble, Mass Movement, is performing (with my music) in Oakland on the 18th and 19th during the "Bodies in Motion IV" show. The show is free, but seating is limited; so if you can and want to come, come early. :-)

I would love to go to this, but my social calendar is a bit hampered these days due to my work schedule. I have to be at work at 6am on Saturday and Sunday, therefore my alarm goes off by 4:30am. Luckily it is a temp assignment, so I don't have this forever. If they want to hire me full time, I will be trying to renegotiate the hours to have at least one weekend day off.

Thanks for the link to the calendar. I will book mark it and try to make a future event.

It added a nice atmosphere and continuity to the show.
I could tell that you enjoyed playing.

There is still the dance show on the 18th and 19th of this month, at the Temescal Arts Center in Oakland. (I'll be playing keyboard throughout most of a roughly 15 minute performance.)
