Ramses had his teeth cleaned and a check up yesterday.

Apparently, his kidneys are elevated. They want to see him again in 2 weeks.

I don’t want to talk about it…I’m pretty upset, but trying not to think about it.

I know everybody loves him… please have him in your thoughts and sent him good kitty vibes.

How do they clean his teeth? Is he awake when they do it or do they give him a sedative? Johnny has to have his cleaned soon.

He gets sedated. It's expensive, but I try to keep it up every year.

I know it's different w/ felines, but my dog had elevated kidney levels as well and my chiro(she's a holistic hippy) put her on supplements and had me change her diet. Her levels are fine now. Her vet told me to put her on light food, but the chiro said hell no, that she needed protein cuz that's what is natural. I don't know, but it's worth looking into. Stay positive. Don't let the negative thoughts get the best of you. Hang in there. xo

He has a high protein and fiber diet. He eats the prescription science diet w/d because of his constipation. I'm hoping maybe it's a fluke, but he's been throwing up more... thought it was hairballs. I feel like such a bad mommy.

Thanks sweetie.

I know it's hard, but do NOT feel like a bad mommy.

Cats (as my vet told me) are creatures of the night and they are very good at hiding things or "acting" like nothing is wrong until they just can't anymore.

Keep an eye on his eating. Make sure he IS eating. Maharets blood panel was SOO off the charts when she was sick, both her liver and her kidneys had started to shut down. Love him like I know you do. It seems to me cats have the most incredible will to live.

Sending kitty miracle vibes Ramses way. While I may not believe in people miracles, I DO believe in kitty miracles.

One thing I learned when Maharet was super sick - hydration is super important. if you're not sure that he's getting enough water, it wouldn't hurt to "force" it into him a few times a day.
A (eye) dropper, but a bit bigger, with water, gently squeeze into his mouth.

I don't want to make you sad, but if you do want to talk about it - you can always call me or email me.
