I have not lost a close friend, I think I somewhat understand your pain and heart ache.

Though day to day life does/did get easier - I fear the ache is always right below the surface..

Oh - also - um, Im sure between Dev and I if you can get down to San Jose (train?) we WILL get you to Santa Cruz - Heck make Dev stay at your place Friday and take you with *grin*

I would even be willing to pick you up Friday night and put you (and Josh) up and my place for the night.
