I loved The Graveyard Book! I've tried to like Neil Gaiman's work before - I want to, I really do, but it normally leaves me cold. But The Graveyard Book = good. :-)

Isn't it great? I was looking back over my book posts of 2010, and I read "The Graveyard Book" early in the year. So, as much as I want to re-read it right now, I'm going to try to wait until 2011, so as not to have a repeat on my list. :-)

I got some raised eyebrows from my family for getting such *dark* books for Christmas, but I *love* them.

Isn't it great to get what you want? I got the only book I asked for - The Sherlockian by Grham Moore.

You asked for *one* book?

*looks at you upside down*

That's the only one I *asked* for, but I have several others in the works. I seem to have developed the custom of starting each year with a biography, and I will be starting 2011 (how odd it is to be writing that date!) with Julie Andrews' autobiography.

Oh my gosh, JULIE ANDREWS, that sounds fabulous -- she's had such an interesting life! I'll have to ask my husband if he's interested in reading that one, he loves old movies & autobiographies.
