So the Democrats are vampires and the Republicans are zombies

Sep 06, 2011 21:27

I think I just read the most crack-tastic Cracked article in the history of time (and that is saying quite a lot.) Basically, it compares Democrats to vampires and Republicans to zombies |D It's typically stereotypical - whose to say that all Republicans are against homosexuality, or that Democrats think Republicans are mindless consumers set out ( Read more... )

I think that if someone is trespassing on your private property, you have every right to whip out your gun and shoot at them

This is something that shocks me but is also amusing to me in the sense that none of my European friends agree, but a small portion of the Americans I know do. Idk, there is a fundamental difference in thinking somewhere along the line.

I personally would never shoot at someone unless it was a life-or-death situation, but I think Americans citizens have the right to do so because it's written in our Constitution. Of course, there's a big difference between offensive/defensive shooting, and it's a controversial subject :|

Political party is a big thing to most people when it comes up specifically, but I find that people will vary in ideas generally. Democrat ideas to Republican ideas and everything else.
Personally, I've been called fascist. [I think it actually fits.], I identify as Republican, though, because most of my ideas fit with the general Republican mainstream. I'm like a violent pacifist. That's my policy. :/

=^..^=~

Political culture is definitely very big in America; I think even the younger generations are becoming more and more interested in politics, which is fantastic as long as they are getting good information.

It's interesting that you choose that words ("violent pacifist") because they seem to be an oxymoron! Could you explain what that means, please?

I find the younger generations interested because of the celebrity made out of President Obama. It's rare I find young Republicans. It's great they show even a slight interest in politics, but stepping into it beyond OH, WOW, A BLACK PRESIDENT! would be better.

A violent pacifist will fight for peace and rights. Pacifists vocalise their anger and hurt but try to be kind about it. I don't.

I absolutely agree with you; Obama was very appealing to the younger generation and elevated to celebrity status. I don't think it was necessarily because he's black, but because he was seen as so liberal and progressive, especially after many years of conservative Presidents.

So kind of like "Fight for peace", right? Makes sense c: ~

Politics make me laugh. I have, like, zero sense of commitment and therefore could never side with anything. XD;

I think that if someone is trespassing on your private property, you have every right to whip out your gun and shoot at them

I personally don't agree, although I do agree with the marriage thing. For me, though, I'm very firm in my belief of boundaries and so putting it bluntly would make me repulsed. Of course I know you don't mean just shoot at everybody, though. XD I put too much value on human life...

'cept maybe with the Death Penalty where I'm on the awkward line of "IDK" because on one hand, make the bastards suffer in prison, on the other... it's like a free ride (food, place to stay, etc) not the best, but it's wasting money and that's just stupid to me. I don't know anymore. People confuse me. Society sucks. I want to be a hermit. 8I

^my views are so very sociopathic it's almost laughable. XD;

MEEEE TOOOOO ASDFGHJKL; I CANNOT COMMIT TO ANYTHING. Which is why I am going to be FOREVER ALONE ಠ_ಠ

I'm kind of torn when it comes to the death penalty. On one hand, THOSE WHO LIVE BY THE SWORD, DIE BY THE SWORD muthafuckas! but at the same time, it seems like a cycle of violence. Taking away their life isn't going to bring anyone back from the grave, and who do we have to decide when a man should die? But yes I agree with you on the WHY ARE MY TAX DOLLARS GOING TOWARDS KEEPING THIS MOFO ALIVE?

I think it just depends on what mood I'm in. If I have way too much AP homework HEADS GON' ROLL.

Do you intend on voting when you come of age next November?

YAY! Join us, we have self-bought Valentine Day chocolates. BD

That is exactly my debate - killing =/= good but money = good. WHY CAN'T WE SHIP THEM OFF. MAKE AN ISLAND. STRAND THEM ON IT. THAT'S COOL, RIGHT? ;A; They can survive for their damn selves or something. Oh wait, now I sound really psychotic. orz

For me it depends on crime severity and stress level too. I wouldn't be particular averse to seeing molesters, rapers and murderers dying. Nope. Not at all. :I

I'm not sure, I might because it's ~important~ but... I'm kind of lazy.
