I hate being sick. I came down with a stuffy nose on Friday. Now, it has turned into a nagging cough and runny nose. GRRRRRR! I've tried getting extra sleep, orange juice, vitamin C, and chicken noodle soup. Anyone have any suggestions?

Last night, Chris and I went to see a preview screening of All the King's Men. It was a very powerful film. On Wednesday, we got together with Wayne, Christine, and Matt at The Fox & Goose. Some of us ate dinner and then we played Apples to Apples and Cranium. It was a lot of fun ( Read more... )

Walter, Chris, and I went to San Francisco on Labor Day to see the Titanic exhibit. It was fabulous! I've also been to the Titanic museum in Florida and an exhibit at Great America right after the film came out. Some of the items were the same, but there were lots of new items too. I survived the first day of school & Back To School Night yesterday. This year is going to be fabulous! I only have 16 kids right now and I am teaching my first choice, 3rd grade. One year I had 33 kids! I had to move rooms this year and it took 65 hours (unpaid) over the summer to set up my room. I am in an actual room now, not a portable. I ( Read more... )

The summer has been flying by. Our first back to school staff meeting is on August 18th. I got a call that my new room is ready and I can start unpacking my 75 or so boxes. UGH! Not looking forward to that.
