Firefox is Made of Win

Apr 01, 2009 08:14

I'm finally breaking down and switching to Firefox. I'm sick of the IE - the slow behemoth.

I need to find out other cool stuff Firefox can do. I know you can add extensions or something.

That is all.

** Update: How do I set Firefox as my default browser? For example, if I click a link from Outlook, it is still launching Internet Explorer.

I was really resistant to switching to Firefox a few years ago (change is hard for me LOL), but I love it now. IE was constantly crashing or freezing; I never have issues with FF. You'll never go back, unless it's kicking and screaming. :)

OMG! Welcome to the wonderful world of Firefox. My stepfather convinced me to switch a couple of years ago. I should mention that I seem to have this electro-magnetic field surrounded me that zaps computers and I used to be a virus magnet as well. I haven't had ANY problems with viruses or spy/adware since I switched. Plus, the add-ons are great. I download the themes. Right now I have one called "Naver" which is nice. It basically changes the look of your browser. They range from professional to quirky and weird and everything in between. Have fun!

Firefox kicks ass. ;)

You might want to check out Flock as well. It's built around Firefox but with a lot of integration with just about every major social networking/blogging/media sharing community (basically it's Firefox with a crapload of social networking extensions already built in).

Gah, me again. You might also want to read this blog post about color management in case colors on pages/photos look a bit off. It explained why an icon I made suddenly looked washed out after I uploaded it.
