Golden slumbers fill your eyes
Smiles awake you when you rise
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing a lullabye
Post-regenerative healing comas could last anything from a few minutes to several days, the human Doctor had warned her. After such a traumatic regeneration, recovery might be prolonged. He’d feel cold, confused, giddy,

The bit you quote is a total handwave, in the true spirit of the original.

I just finished watching "Hamlet". Powerful stuff. I wrote a while back on how DW had influenced the RSC performance, but it goes both ways. I saw quite a lot of little things that cropped up End of Time - and Rusty and Julie did go to see Hamlet at the RSC.

And I especially liked this part:“You sang me home?” His Adams apple bobbed as he swallowed his reaction to that; she saw that he hadn’t had anybody with him - really with him - for a long time. Just the thought of someone’s caring was enough to unman him.
“We used to do that back on Gallifrey. It was an honour, to attend somebody and sing them in to their next life. You can carry away the loss of the old, and that gives them strength to adjust to the new.” And he swallowed hard again. “It’s so much harder on your own.”
“You’re not on your own now. You don’t have to be ever again.”
He looked very fragile, not at all like his old bouncy self as he turned his head away from her and a silent tear rolled down his cheek. “Oh Rose,” he said, in a very small voice.
I like what you do with this idea of the Ood singing the Doctor to his rest, to his home. And of course, I love a little sensitive, lonely, loverly Ten. So sweet. Thanks for that!

The Beatles thread was great fun to do? How many did you spot? I counted ten.

Get on home - you're right, that could be "Get Back", couldn't it - though I was actually thinking of Rose's final words to him in EOT2.
When 10.5 is describing 11, he uses a line from "Come Together" - "feet down below his knees." Very Lennon! And the "working class hero" bit was a shout-out to Christopher Eccleston's forthcoming role in "John and Yoko."
"Oh yeah! All right!" actually comes from the beginning of The End - then it goes, "Are you gonna be in my dreams tonight?" and there is the Guitar Duel of Awesome.
Yes, I do love Abbey Road - how did you guess?
I changed 3 because I just couldn't imagine the Doctor saying, "I'll never do you no harm."

Aww, so true. :(
- Oi, I’m not deaf and dumb, you know. And what do you mean, still not ginger? You having a go, or something? Ginger kids need role models! I’ve a good mind to complain to the BBC about you!
LOL. hahaha. I'm glad you put that in there. I heard about that controversy and it was so stupid. It was just so obvious that the people who complained had never seen Doctor Who before, if they didn't know about the Doctor's longing to have red hair.
And um..... not to criticize or anything, but if that's your PG, I'm kind of scared to find out what your R might be...... ;)
Good chapter!!! Another please!!

Oh, the "ginger" controversy is beyond ridiculous. Anything to get a DW headline, eh? Catherine Tate must be laughing herself silly!
