And as soon as I read the last few lines I knew it was Jack. Oops. There goes the Doctor, forgetting the important things (though he did have a lot on his mind). Yes, I have missed writing Donna. What finally inspired me was the new DW novel "Beautiful Chaos," which goes deep into the Noble family, fleshes poor, horrible Sylvia out a little and even gives Wilf a bit of a love interest (aw!) It's very well done.

Oooh, I really like this fic. You've set up a very believable situation here (in terms of how Sylvia and Wilf plan to deal with the Donna Situation, in terms of society's reaction at large to all the aliens, and especially in terms of how Donna is taking it all) and it just feels like a continuation of JE. And then Jack shows up!

This is excellent, and I can't wait to see where it goes.

My one real area of confusion was time: Donna starts off at a pub, and then the story seems to continue in one big flashback? So I think Jack coming over is part of the flashback (and he obviously must catch on and not make Donna remember, as we wouldn't have the beginning we do have otherwise, but then wouldn't she remember him as well as the strange man?), or is it meant to be later? I'm just unclear on what happens when, which is making the cliffhanger (which I love) troublesome for me.

It will be a little clearer after the next chapter, which is up in a day or two, hopefully.

The fallout for the Noble family is certainly an interesting area to explore.
