The lions were amazing!! And we saw them on our last game drive, just before we had to fly out of there. Just gorgeous. But boy does it make you twitch when they turn their heads and look right at you!

Holy crap. What a vacation! It looks totally mind-blowing. And there is not a chance in hell I could have talked myself into one of those puddle-jumper airplanes.

Yep, it was an incredible vacation! Not a fan of puddle-jumpers, huh? Lol, I don't blame you. But its the only way to get in to the Delta and once you're there it's so worth it.

Whoah! Exactly how close were you to that lion? Amazing!

I want to look at all the pics, but the Photobucket link says the album needs a password, and I don't do FB (it is a constant source of irritation for me that you have to be a member just to view people's pages). Any chance of a pw for the Photobucket album?

Okay, I'm back. Thanks for the password, honey. And I love how you've got that slideshow set up, with the black background.

Your photos are stunning, and the lodge looks gorgeous. I am seriously envious of your safari travels.

And your photos of the wildlife are extremely impressive - what camera/lens/zoom capability did you use?

Thank you so much for sharing. ♥

Oops! I only found your comment now. So bad at this :)

And thank you! I'm glad you liked them. I must admit that I have been incredibly fortunate over the years re the places we've been able to see and visit - it's true what they say though. It's not what you know, but who. Yay for having family in the business!

As far as the actual pics are concerned, I can't really take much credit. Some are mine, but most were taken by my brother and dad. And the ones taken by me were with a camera that was left in the lodge for the guests to use. Uber fancy, but I'm slacker who just points and clicks so I'm afraid I can't help you there.

Oh, and we were VERY close to the lions. Thank goodness they were so sleepy. :)
