I didn't check on the rabbits all day today, trying to behave and stay away from them. So I'm not sure what happened. I went out around 1:30 am with the flashlight, wondering if I might catch a glimpse of momma rabbit. There are many many bunnies out there who end up getting et. It's called being a *prey* species. That's why they breed as they do.

That said, some cats *are* f*ckers.

Yes. I know know about predators and prey. I'm not being maudlin. However, cats do not belong outside in North America. I might have felt marginally better knowing a fox or a coyote found them. That to me is natural. A fat well fed house cat out making sport is not my idea of natural.

I'm not so enamoured of any critter to blindly faun over them. Everything in its place yanno?

Two words: Barn cats.

Entirely belong outside in North America, for keeping down rodents. The only way I'd even have a cat was if I lived on a farm and had a barn. Maybe better, cats don't belong outside in the city.
