A Brady Bummer

I've been away from LJ for a while. I've been trying to write on here fairly regularly so, let's see. What should I write about. Well, last Thursday, Marcia Brady came to town. Well, at least Maureen McCormick, the actress who played Marcia in the camp TV show.

Aw, that sucks you didn't get to meet Marcia. I mean, Maureen. In my (albeit limited) experience, that is how book signings are supposed to work, but it's lame that the Borders employee was so pushy.

I'm not into collecting of autographs of celebrities per se, but if the opportunity comes up & it was a book I was going to buy anyway, I do love to have a copy that's signed by the author. I probably wouldn't wait in line for hours though -- it would have to be *some* book.

Had I known it was just a regular book signing I wouldn't have gone. However, I was forwarded some info that led me to believe that she was going to speak and then sign the books. Which would have made sense since people who went to hear her speak may have become interested enough to actually buy the book.

Yeah, if it was a book I was going to buy anyway, I wouldn't mind having it autographed. I really don't see the need to add the Marcia Brady book to my collection, however.
