Bike riding to me removes the 'isolation' between operating a machine and being a part of the environment it creates. A car feels like a box that happens to be carrying me along. Riding a bike is a machine that i've attached to myself that lets -me- move in ways I can't on my own. On an open-frame bike (no fairing or the like), I can -fly- and do things no human being can do - it just takes this extra hardware to do it.

That's what I get out of riding. The ability to let myself go, and be a part of the wind and the motion and the world around me.

Now i wanna go riding.
