Call me a sucker...

Tonight as Allen and I were going into Safeway, a woman pulled up next to us in a car and explained that she was running away to a women's shelter (apparently at the UGM) and needed a little money for gas. I don't think you're a sucker at all! I think you're exactly the kind of person I'd be desperately needing if I were in that woman's situation. If I have it, I always give a little bit of change to people asking for money, because I figure there's no way for me to know if they're legitimately in trouble, and since I can't know, who am I to judge and assume the worst?

Also, ocean?! I must have missed that entry! I hope you have a good time! You've earned it!

Wow. Although my first instinct was to scream scam because I've had them happen to me very often (<--sucker), I commend you for your generosity! Sometimes people just need a little help. I bought a woman a jacket once because she looked at it for an extremely long time and looked so sad but it was very obvious she had no money, and had children with her, and just being able to help is wonderful. It's too bad people like this so very often go unnoticed because of the other horrible people who steal our money.

I'm sure she'll be thinking of you and your kindness for a long time :)
