I was tired and couldn't get back to sleep so I laid there and fought the good fight for about an HOUR before I finally fell asleep again. I woke up again a little after ten, struggled to get to sleep, and finally got up at 11:30 ( Read more... )

Sounds like you needed these days off. Enjoy them! :)

I miss watching sports on television. Since we moved to Florida this time last year, we've only had extremely basic cable and can't follow the games we want to. We had satellite with the sports package before and I miss it. Although I'm sure it did us some good not watching football for a year or two. My boyfriend played in college for a few years and then had to bow out after the 2006 season due to injuries. We skirted football for emotional reasons for a while. But I miss it. When we move, we're definitely getting some sports channels :)

I can understand how traumatizing that would be for him. I know when my husband is even slightly injured and he can't work out/play basketball/play tennis as good as he normally does, he's pretty upset.
When are you planning on moving and where to?

We're currently looking at a house about 30 miles east of here, still in the panhandle of Florida. We'll be going from city to sticks, which makes me very happy. I'd much prefer to be in the quiet :)

As far as when, that will depend if/when we get approved for a loan and such and can make an offer. My fingers are crossed :D

Well one of my good friends is closing on her house at the end of this week, and given that everything good and bad comes in threes...you might be next! I don't know of anyone else closing on a house so there's still room in my three :o)

Thanks!

Crazy! How did she get married there? Like, they normally rent it out or did they just know the people? I heard a rumor (because, you know, Yakima is a whole lot smaller than it looks...) that the guy who lived there before was a plastic surgeon and someone sued him for malpractice because it turned out he wasn't actually, um, licensed, so he ran off to some country in the middle east.
My friend Rita says the new owners are super nice too, and when they go trick or treating they give people tours of the house and I guess they have carollers at Christmas..
