All of them can slip away at any time ( Read more... )

Hi. I have anorexia. This really made sense. I allways think it'll never happen to me, that you have to be a certain weight before you die. Thanks for such a good post.

I'm sorry that you think that way, it does come hand in hand with anorexia though and I hope this makes you think twice. There are loads of cases in which a person dies at a normal, healthy weight. x

Hi I have annorexia and have been in an out of hospital for along time and over a year ago it put me in a coma. i had liver failure and heart failure the doctors and nurses told my parents that i wouldnt make it i was 3 and a half stone at one point and they still had to restrain me and put nutrition down a a tube that they sticthed in my nose. do you really think that anyone would choose that for a life i totally agree with you when usay its a mental illness it may start by you wanting to be thinner or have the perfect body but once the illness takes over its more of an addiction or obbsession i really dnt think people understand how much of an illness it really is it destroys people. By the way I think you are amazing you should be really proud of yourself!

I sit here with tears rolling down my cheeks as i read this. This brings back all the fear and worry about my beautiful daughter that is in recovery but not totally recovered, as she says herself, she had inverted t wave of the heart when finally diagnosed after suffering from age 15, by then she was 23 and ana had taken control. We could have lost her in a second but luckily she reached out for help just in time. It still hurts to think of those days which were only 4 years ago but yet everyday seemed a lifetime when the worry was there. She also had osteoporosis diagnosed , but reversible they told her, so long as you eat 4 meals a day plus snacks. Not that easy when the voice in your head is screaming at you that you are getting fatter every time you step on the scale, obsessed with the number ( ... )
