Proctor and Gamble buy more companies

Here's the link to a press release....P&G just purchased the parent company of Innova, Evo and other natural pet foods. I expect they'll run them into the ground the same way they've run Iams. The change in ownership doesn't go through for six months, but keep reading your labels people, and if possible, I'd recommend stocking up and looking at ( Read more... )

I'm still coming to terms with Ralston Purina buying Yesterdays News (but it's such a great cat litter, and I compost it). I'd love to find an independent company that makes a similar product

If you want a good alternative, try Petco's Soulistic. This stuff is awesome (especially theflavours in gelee); the label reads well, the cats freaking love it, and it's always sold out when we go to Petco, which means other people and their cats love it too.

At least it's safe from corporate takeover (well, except for Petco), although it could get discontinued, I suppose.

Bleck indeed.

My girls are on Orijen right now and they love it so it's not going to disrupt their food but I can see it being a problem for a lot of others looking for real food for their cats.
